Orangutan Rescue and Rehabilitation
Saving Borneo’s critically endangered orangutans.
Around the world, wild animals are being pushed to the brink by habitat loss, illegal trafficking, human-wildlife conflict and captivity. At International Animal Rescue, we work with dedicated local partners to rescue animals in urgent need and provide the specialist veterinary care, rehabilitation and support they need to recover.
Our goal is to give every rescued animal the best possible chance of returning to the wild. Following rehabilitation and careful assessment, suitable animals undergo a phased release back into their natural habitat, where they can live independently once again.
For those who cannot return to the wild, we provide lifelong care in our dedicated sanctuaries.
