International Animal Rescue owes its very existence to one extraordinary act of kindness. In 1988, a single gift left in a supporter's Will enabled us to begin rescuing animals from suffering – that first gift changed everything.
Since then, we've helped end the cruel tradition of dancing bears in India, rescued and rehabilitated orangutans and other primates in Indonesia, cared for injured wildlife in Costa Rica, and protected countless animals and their habitats.
