We've had a makeover

Have you noticed something different? We’ve updated our brand and introduced a fresh new look. It’s mainly a visual refresh, designed to help us tell our stories and share our mission in a world that increasingly meets us on a phone screen rather than a printed page.

But at heart, International Animal Rescue means exactly what it always has: seeing animals in need and doing something to help.

When International Animal Rescue was founded in 1989, our purpose was simple: to rescue individual animals in desperate need. That hasn’t changed. But over the past 30 years, we’ve learned a lot about what it really takes to protect animals.

NEW LOOK, SAME MISSION

Rescue remains at the heart of what we do. But saving an animal often means doing much more than one rescue. It can mean protecting the habitat they depend on, working with local communities so people and wildlife can thrive together, and tackling the causes of animal suffering, from deforestation to the illegal wildlife trade, not just responding to its symptoms.

And we now do this work for a much wider range of species, in more places around the world. Our new brand is designed to reflect that bigger picture.
It also needs to work in an increasingly digital world, where people may discover us through a phone screen, social media or an app rather than a printed leaflet.

WE COULD’NT HAVE GOT HERE WITHOUT YOU

After more than 30 years, we know what we stand for and what we can achieve together. This new look is simply a way of helping more people see it.
None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for being part of our journey, and for helping us continue to make a difference for animals around the world.

FAQs

Our old logo – a detailed globe with animals inside it – worked well for many years. But detailed designs don’t always work well online, where logos can appear very small on phone screens, app icons and social media.

We’ve simplified our logo, so it stays clear and recognisable wherever you see it.

We’ve also simplified our typography and adjusted our colours to make our stories easier to read and more accessible, both online and in print. These changes are based directly on feedback from our supporters.

We haven’t! Animals remain at the heart of everything we do. They’re just no longer part of our logo.

Instead, our new logo puts our name front and centre. After more than 30 years, we believe our name can stand on its own and represent the work we do.

It also reflects something we’ve learned over the years: protecting animals is about more than individual animals. It’s about their habitats and ecosystems, the communities they share them with, and tackling the threats they face.

We’ve kept the cost of the redesign to a minimum.

Rather than replacing everything at once, we’ll introduce the new brand gradually across our existing materials. This means we can make the change without an expensive, all-at-once relaunch.

No. Your donations continue to support the work that matters: rescuing animals, protecting habitats and tackling the root causes of animal suffering.

The cost of this refresh was minimal, was covered within our existing operational budget and has not reduced funding for any of our rescue or conservation work.

No. This is a change to how we look and communicate, not to what we do. Our mission, our values, our projects and the people behind them remain the same.

The look is new. The work isn’t.
