Exactly 40 years after Live Aid showed the world how music could unite people for a cause, ‘Voices For The Voiceless’ carries that legacy forward. But this time, for the animals who suffer in silence.
Join us on Sunday, 13th July, from 7 p.m. at The Brunswick in Hove for a heartfelt night of music, poetry, and purpose, raising vital funds and awareness for International Animal Rescue. In the spirit of Live Aid, this special event brings together a powerful line-up of artists using their talents to make a difference, not for chart positions but for change.
From folk and blues to spoken word and percussion, every performance will honour the voiceless animals in crisis across the globe and support IAR’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and protect them.
Line-Up Highlights:
· Virginia Thorn – Classically trained vocalist and composer blending traditional Folk and Blues with poetic depth.
· Phily K – Soulful, whiskey-soaked vocals, accompanied by the brilliant Stu Day on piano.
· Little Dot. – Melt-in-the-mouth folk-pop melodies, drawing influence from Neil Young and Laura Marling.
· Steve – Surrealist comedy folk ditties on a tiny guitar.
· Anna Battersby – Acclaimed poet published by Epoque Press, bringing raw emotion and lyrical clarity to the stage.
· The ‘Don’t Call Me Shirley’ band.
· The Sussex Drum – Jamie Morgan, percussionist with a rich musical heritage, will close the night.
