Deep in the heart of Sumatra lies Batutegi Protection Forest (BPF), a vast, lush landscape spanning 60,000 hectares. Its critical core zone, 11,000 hectares in size, is a last refuge for 12 threatened mammal species, including the critically endangered Sumatran tiger and the elusive Sunda pangolin.
But this precious habitat is under siege.
