Slow lorises receive emergency dental work

1st March 2014

Many slow lorises that were rescued with Lily had their teeth removed or clipped for the pet trade. Slow lorises’ teeth are painfully extracted or clipped by the traders to make them easier to handle. In the pet trade this results in the death of many from blood loss or infection before they are sold. At our facility in Ciapus, Java we provide specialist treatment and care for slow lorises confiscated from the markets.

Many of the 238 slow lorises in our last rescue required emergency dental treatment from our team. This slow loris is receiving a root canal from vet Lisa Milella
