As you can see from these lovely photos, Budi has amazing hair! He is eating well and so his weight has increased rapidly, he is a very healthy little orangutan and it looks like he is going to have a beautiful coat.
Budi really enjoys the enrichnment that the vets and volunteers create for him. Enrichment is a hugely important part of the rehabilitation process as it teaches essential skills such as foraging to prepare the little orangutans for life back in the wild. The fact that Budi enjoys taking part in the enrichment activities is a great sign.
Budi is slowly growing more independent, he is a brilliant little climber and is less dependent on the security of his friend Jemmi - he now has the confidence to walk and climb alone.
