International Animal Rescue Saving animals from suffering around the world

Team Rescue Bean

Bean the bear cub was caught from the wild by poachers in India. They killed his mother and sold him into a life of misery and abuse as a dancing bear. When we rescued him Bean was malnourished and traumatized. His muzzle had been pierced and his teeth had been knocked out.

International Animal Rescue is caring for 300 rescued bears like Bean. They live in forested sanctuaries throughout India, with trees to climb and pools to cool off in during the heat of the day. Thanks to International Animal Rescue, Bean and his friends will never know pain or fear again.

As well as protecting and caring for sloth bears in India, our teams work to save the lives of orangutans and other primates in Indonesia. We also help howler monkeys in Costa Rica and treat stray dogs and cats in developing countries. Wherever possible, we return rescued animals to their natural environment. But we provide a permanent home for animals that can no longer survive in the wild.

As a member of Team Rescue you will be making a vital difference to the lives of suffering animals around the world. In return you will receive a tailor-made membership pack which includes:

  • an exclusive certificate of membership
  • an exclusive colour photo of Bean
  • the latest edition of IAR’s “Rescuer” booklet with updates on our life-saving work
  • an exclusive Team Rescue bumper sticker.
