A thank you to our fantastic volunteers at Ketapang

1st April 2014

Huge thanks to the fantastic volunteers at our orangutan rescue centre in Ketapang. Our volunteers work really hard to ensure the well being of nearly hundred orangutans at the centre.

Recent groups in particular have made an incredible contribution to the creation of an artificial island, soon to be inhabited for the first time by some of the bigger and more boisterous members of forest school!

The volunteers have built two feeding towers and numerous bridges to get around the island, even though it’s been a logistical nightmare to get all the wood and materials there.

Special thanks too to Lisa Burtenshaw and her husband Noel, who said a sad goodbye to the team earlier this week – roll on September when they will be back in Ketapang again!
