20th August 2009

International Animal Rescue has applauded investigators for exposing cruelty towards elephants in the Great British Circus.

Elephants are forced to perform for the Great British CircusShocking undercover footage gathered by Animal Defenders International shows elephants being hit with hooks and brooms and one having its tail viciously twisted by a keeper. Please act NOW by calling for a ban on the use of performing animals in circuses. The Dept for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) is deliberating whether or not to regulate animal circuses but regulation isn’t enough, there must be a ban.
