International Animal Rescue Saving animals from suffering around the world

Earth Day Children's Competition Special!

The winners are

Colouring competition: Jenny

Drawing competition: Zoe

Thank you so much to all the children who entered with their wonderful drawings. It really was difficult for us and our supporters to pick one as they were all so good.

This Earth Day we want to focus on the importance of teaching our younger generation about the wildlife that we share this Earth with. We would like our supporters to get their children involved in our drawing and colouring competitions!

There will be two competitions: a colouring competition and a drawing/art competition. The winner from each category will receive a brilliant prize (see picture) of an ‘orangutan rescuer’ t-shirt, a soft toy orangutan and some International Animal Rescue stickers!

Inspire your child to create a piece of art, it can be as creative or as simple as they like! that focuses on one of our animal rescue projects (more information about our projects can be found on our Projects link at the top of the page). Take a photo of their creation and send it to: [email protected], along with your child's first name and age.

For our even younger supporters we are also running a colouring competition! Volunteer Nicky Wilmshurst has kindly produced these wonderful drawings of our rescue animals. These can be printed and coloured in! Please take a photo of your child’s colouring and send it to: [email protected], along with your child's first name and age.

PDFs of the colouring templates can be found here

Please only print the number of copies you need and print double sided on scrap paper where possible. Digital drawings and colourings are also encouraged!

The short list will be announced on Friday 1st May and we will be asking all of our supporters to vote for the entries they like best from both the drawing and colouring categories on our Facebook page.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 6th May. Good luck everyone!
