William Saving animals from suffering around the world

Animals - William

James, a young pig-tailed macaque, was brought into our rescue centre in Ciapus, Java on 3 January 2012. He was handed over by an expatriate European family living in Indonesia, who kept him for nearly three months before deciding that it was wrong to keep a wild monkey as a pet.
William is one of the long-tailed macaques at our rehabilitation centre in Indonesia. He is heavily-built and is quite a dominant male. Long-tailed macaques like most primates are very sociable animals and live in large groups in the wild.
