Update on rescued baby slow loris Pasar
Baby Pasar is starting to gain strength and is showing good early signs of making a recovery from his terrible start in life.
Although his teeth were filed down by his captors, medical check ups show that, overall, he is in good condition. The vets have been hand feeding Pasar the essential vitamins and minerals that he should still be receiving from his mother.
The video below shows Pasar learning to climb a tree. He is making amazing progress as, in the wild, he would still be clinging to his mother. Throughout the video you can hear Pasar making a little chirping noise; this is the sound he would make to call out for his mother. It is heartbreaking to think of how stressful it must have been for him to be taken away from her when he was still so young.
We are hopeful that Pasar will make a full recovery and we will do all we can to ensure he will one day be independent enough to return to the wild, but he has a long road ahead of him.
