The Agra bear sanctuary entertains and educates Indian schoolchildren
Indian elementary and high school classes recently visited the Agra Bear Rescue Facility funded by International Animal Rescue. Vets and keepers from our partner charity Wildlife SOS interacted with the children while they learned about the birds, snakes, blue bulls, hog deer, and of course the rescued bears. They all listened intently to the stories of the bears’ history, the rescues, and the medical attention they had received from the expert veterinary team. These new ambassadors were able to see first-hand the young and older rescued bears snacking on honey logs, climbing trees and playing in their natural environment. The schoolchildren left with a new respect for the animals and promised to share what they had learned with their friends and families.
