IAR launches joint appeal to save the animals of the Cikananga Sanctuary in Java

Sun bear at the Cikananga sanctuary in Java In a recent article in The People newspaper, IAR highlights the plight of the starving animals in the Cikananga sanctuary and joins forces with the Born Free Foundation to launch an appeal to take over the animals' welfare.

A win for greyhounds in Massachusetts
On 4 November the people of Massachusetts, USA voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Greyhound Protect Act. This legislation will phase out commercial dog racing in the state by 2010.
