Volunteering
Our rescue centres in India, Indonesia and the UK welcome volunteers of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds. You don’t need to be a vet or scientific expert to be eligible, although we accept those too! Whether you volunteer for a few days, weeks, months - or even years - you are likely to be asked to help out in all kinds of areas. The hours can be long when you’re caring for animals, but they’re never dull. Many of our volunteers return time after time to help us out - a great testimony to how much they enjoy working with us.

Volunteering in Goa, India
Our centre in Goa bristles with large numbers of volunteers during the holiday season. Some come for a day or two, others stay for months and help out more or less full time. Vet students and newly qualified vets come to get hands-on experience and others just come out of their love for animals. Thanks to our volunteers, for almost nine months of the year every dog that can be walked gets taken out every day and the puppies and kittens receive almost constant attention.

Volunteering in Java, Indonesia
Volunteering at our primate rescue centre in Indonesia is limited to researchers who can help increase the knowledge we need to release these animals into the wild. Some researchers investigate new methods of environmental enrichment in their enclosures. We are absolutely committed to returning these animals to the wild so we need to keep disturbance to a minimum.
