Get involved

There are endless ways to get involved with International Animal Rescue and support our projects around the world.

Supporters raising funds and awareness for International Animal RescueIf you would like to join the growing number of groups and individuals who raise funds to help the animals, we will do all we can to help you make your venture a success. Or you might be interested in helping us in another way - perhaps by volunteering at one of our rescue centres? Leaving a legacy to International Animal Rescue in your Will is also a wonderful way of supporting our work which guarantees a bright and secure future for the animals we have saved.

No matter how you choose to get involved, you will be warmly welcomed and greatly valued as a new member of our expanding family.

Events

International Animal Rescue organise events throughout the year where you can meet other likeminded supporters. Our programme is continuously being updated with new and exciting challenges you can take part in. Search our site today for all the delights we have on offer or follow our advice and ideas to organise your own.

Fundraising

Your efforts are vital in helping us raise the funds to carry out our work. Animals are depending on us. At International Animal Rescue we believe we can all be fundraisers. We just need to care enough about the cause. With a little imagination and a lot of motivation, we all have the means to raise money. Whether it covers the cost of one jar of honey, or will feed a bear for a year, every sum raised makes a real difference. And it is deeply appreciated by us all. We've even put together a range of materials to help make your fundraising a success.

Legacies

International Animal Rescue owes its very existence to a legacy: it was a gift left to our founder John Hicks that enabled him to set up the charity in 1988.  Since then we have saved literally thousands of animals from cruelty and neglect. But every day we are reminded of just how much more there is to do. And while animals continue to suffer, the need for our work will go on. By leaving a gift to International Animal Rescue in your Will, you can continue to support our work even after you are gone.

Volunteering

Our rescue centres in India, Indonesia and the UK welcome volunteers of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds. You don’t need to be a vet or scientific expert to be eligible, although we accept those too! Whether you volunteer for a few days, weeks, months - or even years - you are likely to be asked to help out in all kinds of areas. The hours can be long when you’re caring for animals, but they’re never dull. Many of our volunteers return time after time to help us out - a great testimony to how much they enjoy working with us.
