At International Animal Rescue we work in partnership with other groups whenever we can, pooling resources and expertise so that our combined efforts can be as effective as possible.
Animals Asia Foundation
We exchange information and veterinary expertise with our friends at the Animals Asia Foundation whenever appropriate - particularly in relation to our efforts to help bears suffering in India and China.
Born Free Foundation
In 2007 we joined forces with the Born Free Foundation to raise funds for a veterinary surgery in Bannerghatta, India. Thanks to our combined efforts the clinic can now treat the bears from our sanctuary and Born Free's rescued tigers which are housed in a facility nearby.
Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation
In the past we have been pleased to help the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation raise awareness of their vital work. Our veterinary director in Indonesia has also been lucky enough to help out at the orangutan orphanage and care for these rare and extraordinary animals.
British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR)
We provide an office and administrative support for sister charity British Divers Marine Life Rescue. International Animal Rescue's Chief Executive Alan Knight is also Chairman of this network of volunteers all over the UK.
Captive Animals Protection Society
In 2008 we worked with the Captive Animals Protection Society on a very successful fundraising initiative and we hope to do so again in the future.
Centre for Orangutan Protection
We provide support whenever we can to this group of campaigners who are committed to defending orangutans and their habitats from the ruthless greed of the palm oil industry.
Free the Bears Fund Australia
Our partners in Australia co-fund the project to rescue and rehabilitate all the dancing bears in India.
One Voice France
Our colleagues in France fund the undercover investigative work carried out by Wildlife SOS to protect bear cubs from poachers in India.
Orangutan Outreach
Orangutan Outreach supporters are helping to fund the care of all our orangutans through their adoptions of Oscarina, Monti, Pingky, Pungky, Mimi, Momo and Neng.
Uist Hedgehog Rescue
International Animal Rescue is a founder member of the UIst Hedgehog Rescue coalition which campaigned successfully for the relocation of hedgehogs from the islands of Uist to prevent them from being culled.
Wildlife Rescue Ambulance Service (WRAS)
We provide office space for the Wildlife Rescue Ambulance Service which comes to the aid of sick and injured wildlife all over Sussex.
Wildlife SOS (WSOS)
Our partners Wildlife SOS work on the ground in India to rescue dancing bears off the streets and care for them in sanctuaries which we fund in Agra, Bannerghatta and Bhopal. Led by co-founders Geeta Seshamani and Kartick Satyanarayan, their excellent team of vets, keepers and undercover investigators work tirelessly to help all kinds of wildlife. Sister charity Friendicoes Seca, founded by Geeta in Delhi, cares for stray dogs and other domestic animals in distress.
